Return to: Landmarks
Starting from Woodford on a sunny day in August 2021, Hazel led a walking group to this Grade II listed building in Fineon, currently part of a working farm.
The interesting feature is the inscription. Round House which was built to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. The Duke of Wellington, who frequently stayed at Woodford, remarked that the view from the top of the house reminded him of the field at Waterloo.
