When And Where?
Go to: Into The Wild
Most of our walks are at the weekends, but many of our leaders also arrange walks during the week and in the evenings, particularly in the warmer months.
See our Walks Programme for details.
Start Times
We start our walks promptly at the time stated in the Walks Programme.
Finish Times
The length of time it takes to complete a walk depends on the distance undertaken, terrain, weather and on the individual abilities of the participants. Walks of about 5 miles can take around 2 hours. On longer walks (e.g. 10 miles) we would also expect to have a lunch break of up to 30 minutes.
Breaks
Short breaks are made at suitable points during the walks. Lunch stops are usually about 20 to 30 minutes long. It is recommended that you bring your own food and drinks as pubs or cafes are seldom available. Toilet facilities cannot be guaranteed along the way.
Start Location
Walks take place throughout Cambridgeshire and in neighbouring Counties, offering a wide choice of scenery and topography. Details of start points are given in the Walks Programme, by both exact or nearest postcode and grid reference. Leaders try to ensure that there is reasonable parking nearby.
